Clips for your podcast guest

Send your podcast guest clips they will actually post

Short answer

Upload the episode and EasyClip returns clips of the strongest moments, your guest's best answers among them, each with a title and a transcript. Send the files over and your guest has nothing left to edit. Clips keep the framing you uploaded, and an audio episode comes back as audio clips.

Guests promote an episode when promoting it takes two minutes. A link and a thank-you note is work. Three files and the lines inside them is not.

Works with recordings from YouTube.

Updated

A guest who has to edit something won't post it

Hosts send a link, the guest means to share it, and the week goes by. What actually gets posted is the thing that's already made: a file, a quote, and a timestamp they can check against the episode.

Run the episode through EasyClip and pick three or four clips where the guest is at their best. Each one arrives as a separate file with its transcript, so the guest has a post and a caption without opening an editor. Send one message with the files attached.

A 60-minute episode uses 10 tokens, so up to 10 included clips. The Starter pack (30 tokens for $10) covers it. The guest set comes out of that same batch, not a second job.

Moments to look for

  • The guest's best story, start to finish
  • A claim they would be happy to be quoted on
  • A number from their own work
  • A disagreement with you that makes them look thoughtful
  • The one tip they came on the show to give
  • A short definition of the thing they're known for

How it works

From one recording to clips you can post

01

Upload the whole thing

Upload the full episode once. The guest set and your own set come out of the same batch. Files can be up to 12 hours and 8 GB. We count the length and include about 10 clips per hour, with a minimum of 5 per upload. You don't pick a number.

02

Point it at the guest

Say who the guest is, what they're promoting, and that you want their answers favored over your questions.

03

Download, then decide on extras

Pick three or four for the guest, attach the files and transcripts, and send one message. Extras stay available for 7 days if you want more.

What it costs

A 1-hour podcast episode uses 10 tokens: up to 10 clips, about 3 days at 3 posts a day. That’s $2.67 to $3.33 depending on the pack.

More good moments than that? Add them as extras, 2 per token, for 7 days. Unfilled slots come back as tokens. Pricing details

Good to know

  • Clips keep the framing you uploaded. There’s no automatic vertical crop yet.
  • Each clip comes with a transcript and an SRT file. Captions aren’t burned in.
  • It watches and listens, so moments without talking count. Clear speech is still the easiest to find and check.

Common questions about guest promo clips

How many clips should I send a guest?

Three or four is usually enough. A folder of twenty turns into a decision, and a decision turns into next week. Pick the ones where they sound like themselves, and say which one you would lead with.

Can I tell it to favor the guest over me?

Yes, in the note on the job. It's a preference rather than a filter: a moment that only works because of the back-and-forth can still come through with both of you in it.

Can the guest post the files wherever they like?

That's between you and the guest, and it's worth a line in your email. We hand you files cut from your own recording. Who may post them, and with what credit, is your agreement to make.

Can I make clips from a show I was a guest on?

Only with the host's file and the host's permission. Ask them for the episode export, or for the clips. If they send audio rather than video, an audio upload works the same way.

Do the clips arrive with the post text written?

No. Each clip has a title, its opening line, a short summary, a timestamp, and a transcript. That's the raw material for a caption, not the caption.
