Twitch VOD clip maker
Turn a Twitch VOD into a batch of clips for TikTok and Shorts
Short answer
Download the past broadcast from your Twitch dashboard before it expires, then upload the file. EasyClip searches the whole stream, cuts the moments that stand alone, and starts each one on its first word. A 3-hour VOD uses 30 tokens for up to 30 clips, and extra moments can be added afterward.
Clipping live means you're pressing a button while trying to stream. The better clips usually show up in the VOD: the story you told in queue, the chat read that turned into a bit, the reaction after the play.
Works with recordings from Twitch and YouTube.
Updated
Your VOD has a timer on it
Twitch deletes past broadcasts after 7 days for most channels, 14 days for Affiliates, and 60 days for Partners and Turbo or Prime users. If you mean to clip a stream "later," later can run out.
Save the VOD file, upload it, and let the search happen while you do something else. Twitch's own Clips and Auto Clips are good for quick on-platform sharing. A full-VOD pass is for when you want a batch of posts for the week.
A 3-hour Twitch stream uses 30 tokens, so up to 30 included clips. The Starter pack (30 tokens for $10) covers it.
Moments to look for
- Chat reads followed by a self-contained answer or hot take
- Raids and first-time chatter reactions
- Donation and TTS message reactions
- Clutches and fails with your live reaction kept
- Stories told in queue or on loading screens
- Running jokes that pay off within a minute
- Duo and squad voice-chat chaos
How it works
From one recording to clips you can post
Upload the whole thing
Download the past broadcast (or your local OBS recording) and upload the full file. Files can be up to 12 hours and 8 GB. We count the length and include about 10 clips per hour, with a minimum of 5 per upload. You don't pick a number.
Tell us about your stream
Mention the game, your regular bits, and what chat always asks for. It helps the search favor your kind of moment.
Download, then decide on extras
Clips come back with transcripts and SRT files, ready to schedule across TikTok, Shorts, and Reels. Extras stay available for 7 days if you want more.
What it costs
A 3-hour stream uses 30 tokens: up to 30 clips, about 10 days at 3 posts a day. That’s $8.00 to $10.00 depending on the pack.
More good moments than that? Add them as extras, 2 per token, for 7 days. Unfilled slots come back as tokens. Pricing details
Good to know
- Clips keep the framing you uploaded. There’s no automatic vertical crop yet.
- Each clip comes with a transcript and an SRT file. Captions aren’t burned in.
- It sees the play and hears the reaction, but it isn’t connected to kill feeds or game events. Commentary gives it the most to work with.
Common questions about Twitch VOD clips
How do I clip a Twitch VOD without watching the whole stream?
Upload the full VOD. EasyClip watches and listens in overlapping sections, compares candidates across the whole stream, and returns the best ones as separate files. You review the clips, not the VOD.
How is this different from Twitch Clips and Auto Clips?
Twitch Clips are made one at a time, up to 60 seconds, by you or your viewers. Auto Clips is Twitch's alpha feature for English-speaking Partners and Affiliates that picks moments for you on Twitch. We clip the whole VOD into a batch of files you download and post anywhere.
Are clips vertical for TikTok?
Not yet. EasyClip cuts from your original file and keeps its framing, so a 16:9 recording comes back as 16:9. If you want a facecam-over-gameplay vertical layout, you'll still need to crop it in your editor for now.
What if my stream was mostly quiet gameplay?
It still works from the gameplay and the game audio, so a clutch you can see or a sudden sound can carry a clip. Speech is the most reliable signal, though, because words make a clean opening. A quiet stream usually gives fewer clips than a talkative one, and slots we can't fill go back to your balance.
Can it see my chat overlay?
If chat is part of the recording and big enough to read, yes. It looks at the frames as well as the audio, so a chat message you react to can be part of the moment. Small or fast-scrolling chat is harder to read.
